- Additional time: After the 4-hour base, add $20 per person per hour for all groups. This applies to 5–7 hour and 8-hour tours.
Half-Day Courses
Three set courses, four hours each, on foot with subway and bus links. The order holds on most days, but I adjust as we go — for weather, closing days, crowds, and anything you want to spend longer on.
Route A — Palaces and old alleys
- 0:00 Gwanghwamun Square. Start at Gwanghwamun Stn, Line 5
- 0:15 Gyeongbokgung Palace
- 1:35 Bukchon Hanok Village
- 2:25 Insadong
- 3:10 Ikseondong
- 3:40 Cheonggyecheon Stream, finishing at Jongno 3-ga Stn, Lines 1/3/5
All on foot, walking north to south. Gyeongbokgung closes on Tuesdays. The guard-changing ceremony runs at 10:00 and 14:00, so a 09:45 or 13:45 start catches it. Bukchon’s residential lanes are open to visitors until 17:00 only.
Route B — Haebangchon, Namsan and Myeongdong

- 1:30 Up Sowol-ro into Namsan Park

The neighborhood tour buses skip. We ride up and walk down, so the climbing is modest. Starting about two hours before sunset puts you on Namsan for the view. The tower’s observation deck is a separate ticket; the park and terrace give you the city for free.
Route C — Gangnam and the river

- 3:00 Jamwon Hangang Park by the river, finishing at Sinsa Stn, Line 3
Modern Seoul, with a temple founded in 794 sitting among the office towers. Less walking than the other two, more browsing. From Garosu-gil it is about twenty minutes down to the river on foot, or a short bus ride if you would rather save your legs.

What places can we visit?
Pick one of the three courses above, or build your own from the places you want to see. The usual candidates are Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwanghwamun Square, Cheonggyecheon Stream, Myeongdong, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), N Seoul Tower and Namsan Park, Bukchon Hanok Village, Insadong, Ikseondong, Haebangchon, Starfield Library, Bongeunsa, Garosu-gil, the Hangang parks, traditional markets, and residential neighborhoods. Four hours fits four or five of them, so tell me what matters most and I’ll shape the route and order around it.
Is the itinerary fixed?
No. The route is adjusted around your interests, walking pace, preferred neighborhoods, and available time.
Can this be an evening tour?
Yes. Tell us you’d like an evening start and we’ll shape the route around food, night views, and nightlife-friendly neighborhoods like Gangnam, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, and Myeongdong. The evening tour is a 4-hour base — $120 for 1 guest, $85 per person for 2–9 guests — with optional additional time, capped at about 5 hours so we wrap up by 10–11 PM.
What happens if we want more than 4 hours?
Additional time is available at $20 per person per hour for all group sizes.
Are transit fares and admission fees included?
Personal transit fares, meals, and admission fees are not included unless specifically stated in your booking details.
Is the tour suitable for children or guests with limited mobility?
Please tell us about mobility needs in advance. The route can often be adjusted, but subway stations, stairs, and uneven streets may limit accessibility.
